泰國(guó)稱(chēng)谷歌將從Youtube上刪除侮辱性視頻片段 (Thailand Says Google to Remove Offensive Video Clips from Youtube)

泰國(guó)當(dāng)局說(shuō)，廣受歡迎的美國(guó)視頻共享網(wǎng)站YouTube已經(jīng)同意刪除被認(rèn)為侮辱深受尊重的泰國(guó)國(guó)王的錄像片段。泰國(guó)信息技術(shù)和通訊部星期五說(shuō)，擁有YouTube網(wǎng)站的谷歌公司同意從網(wǎng)站上刪除相關(guān)的12個(gè)錄像片段。

在谷歌公司拒絕泰國(guó)提出的刪除嘲弄泰國(guó)國(guó)王阿杜德錄像的要求后，泰國(guó)政府4月初封閉了Youtube的上網(wǎng)途徑。在泰國(guó)封鎖網(wǎng)站之后，奚落國(guó)王的視頻片段反而大量增加，其中一段視頻還出現(xiàn)用腳指向泰國(guó)國(guó)王的鏡頭，這在泰國(guó)被認(rèn)為極大的失禮。

目前還不清楚泰國(guó)何時(shí)或是否會(huì)解除對(duì)網(wǎng)站的封鎖。在泰國(guó)，侮辱國(guó)王是一種罪行，最多可判刑15年。

Thai authorities say the popular U.S. video sharing website YouTube has agreed to remove clips deemed insulting to the country's revered king. The Thai Ministry for Information and Communication Technology said Friday that Google, which owns YouTube, has agreed to remove 12 video clips from the site.

The government blocked access to YouTube in early April after the company turned down Thailand's demand that it remove a clip mocking King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The number of clips lampooning the monarch mushroomed after Thailand banned the site. One clip depicts feet pointed toward the king, a major etiquette offense in Thailand.

It is not clear when or if Thailand plans to unblock the site. Offending the monarch is a crime in Thailand punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
